About the AES Parent’s Portal

The Parent’s Portal is owned and delivered by Autism Early Support (AES). Autism Early Support provides early support and specialist education to children with communication, interaction and sensory differences.

Founded in 2001, our charity has been rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted four times.  Alongside our provision of specialist education and support for children, we believe in whole family well-being, we offer an extensive programme of guidance and advice for parents and carers.

The creators of The Parent’s Portal are our own team of specialist teachers and therapists who have been working with autistic children and guiding parents for over 25 years. 

Listening to the needs of parents and recognising that they needed 24/7 access to trusted and consistent guidance and support, we first created the concept of an online, 24/7 learning and support platform back in 2021.

Our platform concept progressed into a reality via funding we secured from the CAF Resilience Fund in Autumn 2021.

Over the 18 months that followed, our team used guidance from autistic researchers, direct learning from the children we work and their combined knowledge and experience to build, develop and create The Parent’s Portal by Autism Early Support.

The platform was launched in summer 2023.
